IELTS Academic Reading

In the Academic test of the IELTS exam you will have 3 texts to read, 1 text in each section.  The examiners find these texts in newspapers, books and magazines.  The topics are general interest and are considered appropriate for students who are planning on studying for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

There may be diagrams or graphs included in the texts.  One of the texts will include an argument regarding the topic.

For specific information connected to the question types see the specific pages.

Each episode is about 10 minutes long and focuses on various parts of the test, as well as grammar and vocabulary. I've used some of these programs with my IELTS class because I think they're so good! For Reading take a look at Series 3.
